Season 3 of Call of Duty: Vanguard and Warzone is finally upon us, with a huge update bringing a number of changes to the games. Here are the full Vanguard Season 3 patch notes.

In the third season of Call of Duty: Vanguard, the game is getting some significant changes with new maps, weapon balancing changes, and the long-awaited addition of the Trophy System field upgrade.

Here are the key changes coming to Vanguard, as well as the full patch notes, for the April 27 Season 3 update.

New map and new weapons in Vanguard Season 3

Mayhem takes players into the world of the 1950s as they battle it out.

Season 3 marks the arrival of the map Mayhem, a close-quarters movie set from the 1950s that aims to get players into the action in a hury

This narrow battlefield will bring the high-intensity of maps like Shipment and Das Haus to a totally new environment.

Anyone looking to test the waters can jump into Mayhem 24/7 playlist and give it a shot immediately after the update.

There are a few new guns arriving in this patch as well, with the Nikita AVT Assault Rifle and M1916 Marksman Rifle making their respective debuts.

Both of these newcomers promise to bring some new flair to their respective categories and could both make a run to enter the meta.

Ranked Play also saw a few updates with the playlist officially exiting beta. Alongside the debut of new seasonal rewards, Berlin Control has joined the map pool, and players who go AFK will now be kicked from the game after a time.

More on Trophy System

When we released Vanguard last year, our initial tuning on Lethal Equipment deemphasized their lethality in combat, focusing our combat on gun skill. With new explosive equipment added in Seasonal updates and clear player feedback indicating its appeal, it became apparent that the Trophy System should make its debut.

Upon deployment, the Trophy System will protect its immediate radius from the following incoming and pre-established items for a limited time. Notably, the Throwing Knife is an exception to these defenses due to the high-risk, high-reward nature of this Lethal Equipment:
